Due to restrictions and reporting requirements imposed on sponsored
projects, most funding sources require a detailed description of the work
planned, the outline of expected expenditures, and agency specific forms -
all of this information is compiled to form a proposal. Prior to a Principal
Investigator (PI) submitting the proposal to an agency, the proposal must
undergo an internal review. Proposals must be reviewed to ensure:
- budgets are correct, using
the most recent F&A and fringe benefit rates.
- the PI is in compliance
with University, Federal, and State regulations and policies.
- proper signatures are
obtained to verify University support.
