Dealers
Come. Ply your wares. Make merry, for tomorrow the con shall be over. Dealers are like Santa Claus at cons, except they charge money. They are the recipients of honor, respect, and gamer drool. Pay homage.
This year we have several dealers that will be sharing their wondrous and exotic wares with the fine folk attending Johncon. Look upon their delights, and be amazed!
- Bayside Books of Maryland
- Darkfire Creations
- Robert K Summers
- Very Personally Yours
- Walts Cards
- And more!
- Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror/RPG books
- Chainmaille Jewelry, Leather Belts and Baldrics
- Toys, Gaming Minatures, Books, DVD's Sterling Silver Jewelry
- Embroidered pouches and game shirts
- Games and Gaming Supplies
So you want to be a dealer...
Dealers at JohnCon do not pay a table fee, though we do ask that they pay the registration fee for their con badge. This makes your travel expenses basically your only expenses - and this is a con, after all. You don't technically need to sleep. Or shower.
In previous years, the dealers have mutually decided on hours of operation. You are, after all, the best judges of your commute distance and the demands upon your schedules, and the dealers' room will be locked as soon as you all leave for the evening. As a guideline, last year the dealers' room hours were 9am-9pm, with a member of JohnCon staff on hand as security at all times. If you are not at your table, congoers will not be allowed to peruse your wares.
If you are interested in JohnCon, please note the following:
- No weapons. This means no weapons can be bought, sold, or displayed on the Johns Hopkins University campus. We understand that weapons are commonly sold at conventions without incident, but university policy does not allow it, and since they aren't charging us for the use of the space, we are inclined to follow their rules.
- Please fill out the Dealer Registration Form on the registration page. You need not fill out a standard registration form, just the dealer form.
- If you are interested in coming, get in touch early at johncon@jhu.edu and we'll put you in touch with our dealer liaison who can work through the details with you.
Can't wait to see you.
