After the installation, Brody chats with Maryland Governor Parris N. Glendening. In his speech, Brody described his vision for creating "the Chesapeake equivalent of Silicon Valley" in the Baltimore-Washington corridor. The area is both rich in public and private colleges, and headquarters to many corporations engaged in educational, telecommunications, and software development, Brody noted. The confluence offers an ideal opportunity for "a world center of entrepreneurial leadership in educational technology."
