Sisters Day Out

Brothers Paintball Trip

  Thankfully, the place provides rentals. Rentals are $36 dollars and you get:
1) Full Day Admission from 10AM - 3PM
2) Field Fee (this is basically the entry fee)
3) A paintball gun
4) Unlimited Air Refills (for the gun)
5) 500 paintballs
6) A paintball mask and goggles

This is a fairly good value and the pictures on the website show a wide variety of fields. They even have a castle and a couple of fortresses!

Unveiling the Mystery: A Panel Discussion on the Hijab

The panel will feature Professor Niloofar Haeri, who has done research on different cultures' modesty in clothing, specifically the burka and the hijab for many years. Joining her will be two Muslim JHU students, Affan Sheikh and Nora Ali, who will share their own experiences and thoughts on wearing or not wearing a hijab.

Alhumdulillah, ISB has announced that Eid is on Sunday September 20!!!

JHUMA has a lovely Eid itinerary. Here are the details:

1) Eid Prayer at ISB
We'll be meeting at the IFC at 6 am to pray Fajr and then going to Masjid-al-Rahmah. Anybody who has a car, please bring your car to the IFC to help transport people.

2) Breakfast at IHOP
Insha Allah one van will be heading back to JHU after Eid prayer for anybody who needs to get back. The other van will be heading to IHOP!

3) Lovely Eid Dinner
Insha Allah we will be having a lovely dinner from O's Place at 6 pm at the IFC. Please do come out and enjoy the good food and company!

Ramadhan

  Beginning August 28, JHUMA began regular Ramadhan events. Suhoor every morning before Fajr and iftar every evening at Maghrib time. Taraweeh prayers were held every day (starting the night before the first day of Ramadhan) in the Musallah.
