Islamic Class with Brother Halim
Come learn about the essentials of our faith every Monday at 7pm in the IFC!
Qur'an Study
Reflect over the meaning of the Qur'an with your fellow JHUMA members every Tuesday at 8 pm in the Musallah!
Halaqas
Come discuss a different Islamic topic each week, and maybe even lead a discussion yourself! Halaqas are every Thurday at 6 pm in the Musallah!
Jummah Café
The Jum'ah Cafe is held several times during the school year right after Jummah prayer. A guest speaker engages students in a discussion, while everyone eats lunch provided by the Interfaith Center. Many times, the speaker leads the Jummah prayer, and the café can serve as an opportunity for students to ask further questions and expand on issues mentioned during the Khutbah. The Jum'ah Cafe is an excellent chance to express and share your ideas in a friendly environment - so come out to Jum'ah and stay for lunch! Each year, JHUMA organizes the Big Brother/Big Sister Program to establish a better connection between the freshmen and upperclassmen members. At the start of the year, freshmen are paired with an upperclassman who serves as a friend during their first year (and possibly longer) at Hopkins. In the past, this program has fostered meaningful ties between classes and really benefited the community. If you are interested in participating, please contact our internal community representatives. > (brothers).
Khutbah Reflection
After jummah every week, we gather downstairs in the IFC and discuss that week's khutbah.
Quranic Arabic Class

MJ Initiative
MSA and JSA (the Jewish Students Association) have started this group in order to maintain interaction between both faith groups throughout the semester. After the success of Ramadinner, we decided we wanted to do still more together! So keep coming back to the website to see more events.
