Humanities Center Graduate Admissions

Please see the Graduate Education at Johns Hopkins web site for general information on graduate studies at Johns Hopkins and the Humanities Center. There is specific information on Admissions for the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and an on-line application.

Application Information

The Humanities Center requests applicants to provide the following information in addition to what is required in the general application of admission to graduate study:

1.      Three (3) letters of recommendation.

2.      A copy of what in the applicant's judgment is his/her best writing sample. If the return of the paper is desired, please enclose a stamped,self-addressed envelope.

3.      A completed copy of the form on Foreign Language Competence (endorsed).

4.      A list of schools to which the applicant is applying.

5.      A list of National Fellowships for which the applicant is applying.

Additional Information

Deadline for application is January 15.

We do not send out any financial aid applications before admittance. If you are admitted to the program, we will then send financial aid and housing information.
