Principal Projects in EPA Region 2

 
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on possible collaboration for dredge spoil staging and subsequent land use planning for staging properties.
 
Planning Superfund Site Redevelopment Workshop in Region 2, tentatively targeted for the first quarter of 2004, several stakeholder meetings were held to help prepare for the workshop.
 
The Dudley School study on the use of the Triad Approach for a school based Brownfields reuse scenario. 
 
Planning and implementation activities associated with the USEPA-NJIT cooperative agreement on the use of the Triad framework in the Assessment and Community Assistance using an area wide approach. Meetings were held with Elizabeth Development Corporation to begin identification of affected properties within the NJDEP Brownfields Development Area as well as properties that had been listed on the Known Contaminated Site List to determine level of existing data at NJDEP.
 
Developed a project scope of work and tentative agreement for technical assistance for an Area Wide Investigation within the Hudson County Area Wide Assessment Project.
 
Developed a project scope of work and tentative agreement for technical assistance for the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission Paterson Plank Road Brownfields Redevelopment Area project.

New TOSC and TAB initial inquiries:


Discussions were held with the Broome County New York Brownfields team on participation and assistance for a Brownfield Seminar to be held in the first quarter of 2004.
 

Discussions were held with the Lackawanna New York Brownfields team on development of two workshops for 2004. A brief description of each workshop, one for Risk Assessment and one for Institutional Controls, was developed for consideration by the team.
