CENTER FOR HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES IN URBAN ENVIRONMENTS

Participants

The interdisciplinary and multimedia nature of urban environmental problems demand a diverse array of scientific talent and facilities. An outstanding team of engineers and scientists has been assembled to form this HSRC. The five academic partners and expertise of the Principal Investigators are detailed below:
 

Johns Hopkins University; Baltimore, Maryland

Faculty and technical staff from the Departments of Geography and Environmental Engineering (DoGEE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), and Chemistry at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) will participate in the initial activities of the Center:

Faculty and technical staff from the Center for Environmental Science, Chesapeake Biological Laboratory (CBL) (Solomons, MD), Department of Chemistry (College Park, MD), and the Environmental Health Education Center (EHEC) in the School of Nursing (Baltimore, Maryland) at the University of Maryland (UM) will participate in the initial activities of the Center:
