Article VII: Election Procedures - Sections 3-4

Section 3: Impeachment

  • An executive officer can be removed from office is she or he is incompetent, frequently absent from executive board meetings and general body meetings, or does not fulfill requirements of office
  • A quorum of active members must be established to deliberate on these accusations, and the officer may defend his or herself at the meeting.
  • Any active member may call for the impeachment of an officer with substantiating evidence

Section 4: Vacancies

  • If an office becomes vacant through impeachment or resignation, a special election meeting will be held according to the election guidelines of the constitution
  • The newly elected officer will begin taking over the duties of the office immediately
