The N.S.B.E. Johns Hopkins Chapter sponsors and coordinates several programs to help both the members as well as others in the community. A list of those programs is below:
PROGRAMS
SEMESTER LONG EVENTS.
• Study-A-Thon Tutoring Program
• Free tutoring (from certified JHU tutors) on Sundays from 12 to 6pm in Ames Hall, Room 234.
N.S.B.E. Technical Outreach Community Help Program (T.O.R.C.H.)
• Members teach basic computer skills to members at the Village Learning Place located on 25th and St. Paul street
• If you are interested in teaching a course like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, the Internet, etc. please contact Programs chair Jessica Innocent
• Meeting times for this program are early Friday afternoons 11-3pm
Pre-College Initiative (P.C.I.) Program
We sponsor a P.C.I. chapter at Millford Mills High School, moderated by Joseph C. McNeil
P.C.I. activities include by SAT preparation, taking field trips, research projects, attending conference, and other events
