When can I begin mailing packages

At the start of each academic year, we typically begin to accept packages for students moving into Housing on or around the start of the 3rd week of August. We ask that you not send items prior to this time as secured storage space in the mail rooms is extremely limited. We cannot accept items to be stored in students' rooms (or elsewhere) ahead of time.

Once a delivered parcel is received and processed, an email notification will be sent to the student's JHU email account and the package will be safely stored in the mail room. Once the student arrives to move in, the package/s will be made available during regular package pick up hours.

Street Parking

Street parking in Charles Village is extremely limited. It is street parking around the Hopkins campus, most of which is metered or limited hour only parking. There are heavy ticket and towing penalties. As such, students are strongly discouraged from bringing cars to campus because living in the residence halls does not qualify the students for either a city or campus parking permit.
