How To Apply

Summer Housing applications will be made available as of April 1st, 2008. Applications will be processed in the order in which they are received, however, please note that in the event that space becomes limited, priority will be given to full-time JHU undergraduate students and to those students who will need summer housing on a long-term basis. Students will be charged a minimum of one week. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required with each application, made payable to Johns Hopkins University by check or money order only. This deposit will be applied towards your final housing/dining total. Should you cancel your summer housing application, the deposit will not be refunded.

An assignment will not be completed until both the application and deposit are received. Students can enroll at any time prior to July 17, 2009, however we require a minimum of 3 business days notice to complete an assignment. Once an assignment is complete, you will receive a housing contract and notice of your remaining balance for the summer. The remaining balance is to be paid at time of enrollment. The balance may be paid with a check or money order only.

Submit the online housing application or download and mail the PDF version and carefully read the deposit policy. Indicate your exact arrival and departure dates, as well as the type of unit you desire.  Please pay close attention when completing this section of the application, specifically your arrival and departure dates. Any changes to arrival dates may not be accommodated due to lack of availability and will result in a $30 administrative fee if able to be honored. Should you be interested in purchasing a summer meal plan, be sure to indicate that as well. We will do our best to meet your individual needs.

IMPORTANT: Visiting students are required to show documentation of affiliation with the Johns Hopkins University or Hospital in order to reside in summer housing. If you complete the online application, remember to fax or mail your letter of affiliation.

Once an assignment in complete, a contract will be sent to you, and you will be given a deadline to return it.  Payment in full is due at the time your contract is returned. Rent must be paid by check or money order only, payable to Johns Hopkins University. Cash and credit cards cannot be accepted.
