Things You Need To Know!

When sending mail and/or packages to your son or daughter please use the address (in the exact format) provided below. Please do not include, "Johns Hopkins University" in your son or daughter's mailing address. Student resident mail that includes "Johns Hopkins University" is, at times, being delayed, misdirected and/or misdelivered.

In addition, to ensure the safety and security of your mail, please share the following information with family members, friends and businesses:

  1. NEVER send currency (cash or coins) in the mail. Please use checks or money orders only.
  2. Use an overnight GUARANTEED delivery service (service that requires a signature at time of delivery) when sending, critical or time sensitive documents or items.
  3. Use a GUARANTEED delivery service (any service that requires a signature at time of delivery) if you must mail valuable items.
  4. PROMPTLY REMOVE mail from your mailbox after delivery, especially if you are expecting checks, credit cards, and/or bank statements.
  5. If you are expecting a piece of mail or package that does not arrive within a reasonable amount of time, or, you suspect that your mail has been tampered with or stolen, please NOTIFY HOUSING IMMEDIATELY so that an incident report can be completed.
  6. ALWAYS remember to close and secure your mailbox after retrieving your mail. Your federal mail will be held in the Wolman mail room until your mail box is closed and secured.
  7. Be sure to report lost mail box keys or broken mailbox locks and/or doors to the appropriate Housing Office ASAP.
