Transplant of American Holly Tree

A crane transplants an American holly tree from its former location on the GX2 site to a new home near the Glass Pavilion. When all is said and done, this will be the most heavily wooded zone of the completed GX2. The designers envision this area as a "green finger" onto campus from the woods behind the Glass Pav. This extension onto campus of the natural systems directly to the west is a major component of the campus master plan, adopted in 2000. See this drawing to get a sense of how dense the trees will eventually be outside the Glass Pav.
