The GX Listserv The GX list provides information you need during the "Great Excavations 2" project at the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus. Today is Friday, June 21. Today's GX includes:
1. The detour around the club 1. The detour around the club As you know from earlier GX messages, traffic to and from the lacrosse gates on San Martin Drive is now being routed in front of the Johns Hopkins Club and through a newly created driveway. This is because the old road (up the hill from San Martin and around the bend to Owen House) is closed for work related to the chemistry building/NMR/parking deck project. This just in: This coming week -- starting on Monday, June 24 -- there will also be construction work along this detour route. The idea here is to widen the road, in the area of Nichols House, to better accommodate the two-way traffic it is now handling. The detour route will remain open, but will be reduced to a single lane handling traffic from both directions. Flagmen will be stationed at both ends of the work area to control traffic through the area. Work will begin each day around 7 a.m. and end late in the afternoon. The project may be completed by Friday, June 28. 2. Subscribing and unsubscribing Please let others who may be interested know about this list.
