Johns Hopkins University | Great Excavations Homewood Campus Renovations

The GX Listserv
Message #7 ... June 13, 2002 (third of 3 messages)

The GX list provides information you need during the "Great Excavations 2" project at the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus.

Today is Thursday, June 13. Today's GX includes:

1. Last-minute road closure Friday: correction
2. Notes from the chemistry building project
3. Subscribing and unsubscribing

1. Last-minute road closure Friday: correction

The reference in this afternoon's last GX message should have been to a last-minute road closure tomorrow (Friday, June 14)... not Friday, June 13. (A black cat did actually cross my path this morning; that must have been on my mind when I wrote the Friday the 13th reference!)

2. Notes from the chemistry building project

The contractors working on the chemistry building project ask us to remind you that there is currently no parking behind Levi Hall (the west wing of Mudd Hall) except designated handicapped parking. Also, you can expect periodic closures next week of the roadway just north of the Johns Hopkins Club (that is, the road just inside the entrance onto campus from the lacrosse gates on San Martin Drive). This will allow for utility work along this stretch of roadway. During these closures, a detour will be available through the newly built entrance onto the club parking lot and around the front of the club.

3. Subscribing and unsubscribing

Please let others who may be interested know about this list. Here's how they can subscribe: Send an e-mail message to:

listproc@listproc.hcf.jhu.edu

Leave the subject line blank. The text of the message should be:

subscribe gx Subscriber's Name
(for example: subscribe gx Jane Doe)

The message should be sent from the account to which the subscriber wants GX messages sent.

Some members of this list will need to unsubscribe, either temporarily or permanently, as they take vacations or leave campus for the summer. To unsubscribe, please send an e-mail message to:

ListProc@listproc.hcf.jhu.edu

Leave the subject line blank. In the body of the message, type the command:

unsubscribe GX

We urge in particular that you unsubscribe if -- while you are on vacation or away for any other reason -- you intend to set your e-mail account to block or automatically reply to incoming mail. You may resubscribe when you return.
