Johns Hopkins University | Great Excavations Homewood Campus Renovations

The GX Listserv
Message #5 ... June 13, 2002 (first of 3 messages)

The GX list provides information you need during the "Great Excavations 2" project at the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus.

Today is Thursday, June 13. Today's GX includes:

1. Starting today
2. Starting next week
3. Starting next month
4. Subscribing and unsubscribing

1. Starting today

Beginning today, the south steps of Gilman Hall (by the ATM) will be closed to allow for GX2 construction work in that area. The steps will remain closed until further notice. You will be able to reach the ATM from within the building. Other entrances to Gilman remain open.

2. Starting next week

Early the week of June 17, the construction fences between Garland and Hodson halls will be moved to direct pedestrian traffic onto the new brick sidewalk along the front of Hodson. From that time, pedestrians going from Garland, Clark and points south and west will no longer have to travel over the Garland deck to reach Levering, Gilman and points north.

3. Starting next month

On or about July 1, both the south end of the Gilman tunnel and the outdoor approach to the accessible elevator on the west side of Ames Hall will be closed for a period of about two weeks.

4. Subscribing and unsubscribing
