Johns Hopkins University | Great Excavations Homewood Campus Renovations

The GX Listserv
Message #13 ... July 2, 2002

The GX list provides information you need during the "Great Excavations 2" project and related constructions projects at the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus.

Today is Tuesday, July 2. Today's GX includes:

1. A dry night at Homewood
2. Subscribing and unsubscribing

1. A dry night at Homewood

Contractors on the chemistry building project will be shutting off water service to four Homewood buildings on Wednesday night, July 3, at 10 p.m. The shutdown is expected to last until roughly 7 a.m. on Thursday. Very few people are expected to be around Wednesday night, or on Thursday for that matter, since it is a holiday. But when you do return to your office or lab on Friday, the water may run a little cloudy at first because of sediment. Affected buildings are the Eisenhower Library and Remsen, Jenkins, and Mergenthaler halls. The purpose of the shutoff is to allow the contractors to install water service for the new chemistry building.

2. Subscribing and unsubscribing
