Apply for Funds

Full-time graduate students at the Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus are eligible to apply for funds. This applies to Masters and Ph.D. students, and any other classification of full-time student.

At this time, we are in the "building" phase of the Graduate Student Endowment Fund. When our savings have reached a critical mass, we will be able to give awards from the interest generated every year. At this time, we are not able to give away funds. Until we can, please help us build the Graduate Student Endowment Fund by shopping at our Endowment Mall or by giving directly.

When our fund has reached critical mass, we will begin distributing funds. You will find an application form here, and funding decisions will be made by the GRO General Council, whose meetings are open to the public. Find a schedule of GRO General Council meetings online.

At this time, the purposes for which we will give funds has not been entirely determined. We may decide to use this money to subsidize graduate student travel to conferences, the non-resident student tuition fee, the matriculation fee, or health insurance premiums for those not falling under the subsidy. If you have an opinion about this matter, we'd love to hear it.
