About Us

The Johns Hopkins University Chapter of Engineering World Health was created in the Spring of 2008. It's goal is to improve the healthcare status of people in undeserved areas by providing and maintaining appropriate medical technologies. It works on two types of projects, repair projects and design projects. The goal of the repair projects is to repair equipment to send to developing hospitals. The goal of the design projects is to develop new medical technologies that would improve the healthcare conditions in developing countries. The club welcomes members to help out in the design and repair projects, as well as donors to provide the equipment needed for the repair and design projects.
