At an early morning gathering, with Violaine giving Ashley, Shaina, and Meredith some idea of what they may be doing today. Reis Farouk has provided us with a shamsia to get out of the sun. Now they don’t yet need it, but in another two hours, they will be very happy to have it.

Violaine gives morning briefing.

Meanwhile, across from our excavation setting, the pipe has been laid and the pump placed in the lake to ready us for draining. There are still some tests to conduct to be sure that there will be no silt lifted with the water when pumping starts. So patience is required.
