Welcome the AWARENESS DAYS 2007 homepage! Awareness Days 2007 is a month-long affirmation of our community’s presence and the issues that affect us; it’s an opportunity for members of the LGBTA community, as well as nonmembers, to attend workshops, speeches and activities that enrich their understanding of sexual diversity and acceptance.

During AWARENESS DAYS 2007, DSAGA will be organizing different events such as dynamic workshops, special speakers including authors, comedians, public figures, and other activities emphasizing acceptance and understanding.

    Queers: Past and Present
    Monday, March 19th, 8:00pm, Levering, Sherwood Room
    A presentation about the history and diversity of gay culture

    Gays Just Wanna Have Fun: Drag Dance
    Friday, March 23rd 10:00pm-1:00am, Levering, Glass Pavilion
    DSAGA's annual drag dance. Baltimore's own Elora Frost will perform and crown a drag king and queen from the crowd. Don your finest drag apparel.

    An author, actress and activist for issues regarding transsexual people.

    Straight, Not Narrow
    Monday, April 2nd 8:00pm, Levering, Sherwood Room
    What does it mean to be a straight ally? What can you do as an ally to support the gay community?

    Charles Silverstein
    Friday, April 6th, 7:30pm, Levering, Great Hall
    His essays and professional papers have been published widely in journals and anthologies. He is the founding director of the Institute for Human Identity and Identity House in New York City. He is the founding editor of the Journal of Homosexuality.

    Gay BBQ
    Saturday, April 7th, 8:00pm-10:00pm, Levering, Sherwood Room
