This is a screen shot of the world's first cuneiform email, sent March 31, 2001 by John Jenkins, System Software Engineer, Apple Computer, Unicode Consortium Technical Director (East Asian Scripts), and participant in the Initiative for Cuneiform Encoding (ICE). Jenkins sent the email to fellow ICE participants, Karljuergen Feuerherm, Lloyd Anderson, and Dean Snyder, who were attending the American Oriental Society meeting in Toronto at the time. In the email, Jenkins reports on progress in cuneiform text handling in Mac OS.
