CRASH (Creating Responsibility in Adolescent Sexual Health)
Creating Responsibility for Adolescent Sexual Health (CRASH) is dedicated to educating adolescents on various aspects of sexual education and health. There are 5 sessions we teach in total: Sexual Health and Hygiene, Sexually Transmitted Infections, Pregnancy and Contraception, Relationships and Sexuality, and a cumulative Jeopardy game. Each semester, we do one or two 5 week sessions, with one session per week. The sessions are conducted in various locations, including the William Schaefer House for Boys (under the Maryland State Juvenile Justice System), and the Maryland CHOICE program. During the program, many of our volunteers forge a lasting bond with the small group that they work with. The group consists of students from the undergraduate, medical, nursing, and public health schools.
