Aspiring Scientists, Engineers, and Physicians Partnership (ASEPP)
Mission Statement: With the beginning of difficult science and math classes, students often lose interest or quickly decide that they will never pursue a professional career in the sciences. These careers are often never considered a possibility by urban youth, in part due to a lack of exposure to successful rold models. Through mentoring efforts, students will be more confident in their abilities to succeed. Through weekly experiments, ASEPP excites students and teaches by non-lecture methods. The age range of students we serve is between 9 and 14 and we try to make a weekly visit to the schools.
