Program at Yale University in 2003 and earned his Ph.D. with Menachem Elimelech
in 2008. His dissertation research
focused on the aggregation and deposition behavior of both naturally
occurring and engineered nanoparticles in aquatic systems. Kai Loon’s research interest lies in
understanding colloidal and surface interactions of relevance to
environmental and biological systems. Kai Loon teaches 570.301 Environmental Engineering Fundamentals I in the Fall semester and 570.448 Physical and Chemical Processes in Environmental Engineering II and 570.460 Environmental Colloidal Phenomena in the Spring semester. |
