Mission Statement

MInDS is an organization that promotes diversity in science by fostering graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in their career development.

MInDS works with Faculty and Administration to develop effective strategies to identify, recruit, retain and support underrepresented groups in an effort to diversify Johns Hopkins Universitys Department of Biology.

Through mentorship, networking, and improving community awareness, MInDs contributes to the universal effort to diversify academic researchers at colleges

MInDS recipient of a Krieger School of Arts and Sciences Graduate Community Grant 

MInDS group members are recipient of President Brody and The Johns Hopkins Diversity Leadership Council, Diversity Recognition Award

MInDS saluted in the May 13th weekly of the Baltimore AFRO American newspaper!
