every year the career center hosts classes and seminars that are
directed toward helping graduate students find their next job. Here is
a short list of workshops they usually offer each year, but check

- Visit a counselor - The best way to get help and advice is one-on-one. Any of these people can help
- HopkinsNet - A database
of Hopkins alumni. You can search for for people based on
their company and professional field to find an alumnus already in a field
you're interested in.

- MentorNET - online mentoring for students in science and engineering
- WetFeet Press -
They offer articles and career advice for all careers, as well as a job
search engine. Also, they sell "insider guides" that give profiles of
selected industires and employers. These insider guides are also available at the Career Center for free.
- ScienceJobs.com - Jobs listed through New Scientist magazine
- Nature Jobs - Jobs through the journal Nature
- The National Academies
- Science's Next Wave - Science's on-line magazine completely devoted to helping science students find careers outside of academia
- PostDocTank.com - A website focused on helping you find a post-doc
- Phds.org - a career resource for science, math, and engineering
- The Chronicle of Higher Education - a source of academia-related news, they also have a "Chronicle Careers" page that lists mostly acadmic job opportunities
- SciWeb Career Center
- The Lab Rat - Biotech jobs and research resources
- Bio.com - a biotech/industry focused site with news and a career center (among other things)
- Maryland Bio Jobs - a private non-profit group that is advancing the development of bioscience in Maryland
- Career Help for Minorities
- MARC - Minority Access to Research Careers
- SACNAS - Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science
- ABRCMS - Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students
- ASCB MAC - American Society of Cell Biology Minorities Affairs Committee
- Books - Don't forget to check the library too! This is a
