Biotechnology Companies Working at a biotech company usually involves doing research under a project manager. Biotech companies can work on a variety of topics, but are usually medically or chemically driven, including pharmacology and drug companies. There are also those companies that make products for scientists, such as Qiagen or Invitrogen. Another position you can have in this path is a product salesperson, who markets the company's products to possible customers. Overlapping with this path is the technology path.
