Stand Strong with Maryland Abortion Providers
In the aftermath of Dr. George Tiller's brutal murder, NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland is asking you to remind abortion providers that you stand with them and you appreciate their dedication to women's health. You can write a personal message or they have some suggested language for you to use, and they'll send them to Maryland abortion providers. Please take a moment to honor these people that risk life and limb to provide safe, legal abortion care to women in Maryland.
Keep Reproductive Services in Health Care Reform
We all know the nation is going through a big fight for health care reform, and boy do we need it. But here's something we don't need: the Republican leadership on the Senate Finance Committee is trying to limit women's access to reproductive services. If you live in AZ, AR, DE, FL, ID, IA, KS, KY, ME, MA, MI, MT, NV, NJ, NM, NY, ND, OR, TX, UT, WA, WV, WY, please contact the Senate Finance Committee right now to let them know we won't stand for it. You can also sign the petition from NARAL Pro-Choice America that goes to your Senators from any state, encouraging them to oppose this and other attempts to limit reproductive care.
Tell CVS to Unlock the Condoms
At many CVS stores in low-income and minority neighborhoods, condoms are locked away so that they are inaccessible without staff assistance. The last thing we should be doing is discouraging people that are trying to make a responsible decision about sex. Walgreens and Rite Aid prohibit keeping condoms in locked cases, and we think CVS should also. CureCVSnow.org has a petition you can sign. And If you sign uP, Planned Parenthood of Maryland's Action Network will keep you updated if there are any more rallies at Baltimore area CVS stores.

RH Reality Check is an online community and publication dedicated to reproductive rights and sexual health. They have a weekly newsletter that always has interesting articles from different perspectives. You can subscribe to their RSS feeds and get information news and perspectives on a number of topics ranging from Abortion to Maternal Health to HIV & STI prevention. You can also submit your own articles if you want to.
