Lee Widger is a native of Syracuse, NY.  He received a BS in 2006 from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL where he worked for Dr. Catherine Dayton and Dr. David Grove.  He then worked under Dr. Frank Rossi at SUNY Cortland and Dr. Joe Kao at UMBI in Baltimore, MD.  He came to Johns Hopkins and joined the Lectka group in the fall of 2007.
