The New Chemistry Building on the Homewood Campus, our home at Johns Hopkins. Construction on the building was completed in September of 2003.

A few pictures of the building during construction...

This is how it looks today.

The school felt that chemists don't spend enough time outside, and so decided that we should move ourselves into the new labs. Here we are transporting our beloved big blue couch to its new home.

Inside, we are, of course, always hard at work...

Well, almost always. Sometimes, some of our members are a bit disruptive. Hey! No horseplay in the labs!

Here Jamie demonstrates an early chemical analysis technique and its sometimes unfortunate results. Don't try this at home kids, we're professionals.

Contrary to what some believe, we do get out of the lab (just don't tell Tom). Here a few of our current members (and former member Andrew Taggi) enjoy a snowy winter's day in Baltimore.

We also have some great parties. This one was thrown at the home of friend and honorary member, professor Lev Ryzhkov (of Towson University).

And this party was thrown at professor Lectka's home.

As the bulk of us here at the Lectka group are wine lovers, this space also serves as our photographic record of wines tasted at our various parties....
