> Meet with a Career Counselor
Throughout your Hopkins years, there may be times when you have
questions about career issues that you might want to discuss with
a career counselor. Career counselors can help you decide about
a major and a career focus, gather information about the world of
work, develop strategies to source jobs and internships, and practice
skills that will help you achieve success in the competitive employment
market. If you need assistance with navigating the graduate school
application process, career counselors can assist with this process
as well.
If you have any of the following questions, you may benefit from
meeting with one of the career counselors:
- I’m not sure what to do. How do I decide on a major and/or
career?
- How do I find an internship?
- How do I write a resume? If I already have a resume, should
I have it reviewed before I send it out?
- What is a cover letter? How do I know what to write in a cover
letter?
- How do I manage the interview process? How should I prepare
for an interview?
- How can I network with people in fields in which I am interested?
- Am I ready for graduate school? How do I choose the right graduate
program for my interests?
- How do I find out which organizations are hiring right now?
- What is On-Campus Recruiting, and how do I get involved with
it?
- How can I prepare for an upcoming Career Fair?
