RULES

1. Participation

1.1. Participants must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in a degree granting program in one of the academic divisions of the Johns Hopkins University OR be a post-doc at Hopkins.

1.2. Students may submit business plans individually or collectively as a team.

1.3. Students may participate on more than one team if they wish.

2. Competition Categories

2.1. The competition is divided into three categories:
   2.1.a. Biotechnology
   2.1.b. General Business
   2.1.c. Medical Devices & Technology

2.2. Business plans may be submitted to only one category.

3. Concepts for Business Plans

3.1. Teams may submit business plans for pre-existing companies, provided that:
   3.1.a. The company is pre-profit.
              AND
   3.1.b. The company has not received outside professional investment.

3.2. Business plans that placed in the top three in any of the categories in any previous years may not be entered in this year's competition. Any other business plans may be reentered.

4. Deadlines

4.1. Business plans will not be accepted past the final deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS.
