Entry Process for Executive Summary Round

This year's Executive Summary and Written Business Plan Rounds will be conducted using an online platform. Participating Teams will need to select a Team Leader that will be in charge of uploading the entry to the online platform. All files uploaded for the Executive Summary Round to the platform should be in .pdf format.

Team Leaders will be able to select the Track that they are submitting their Executive Summary to. There are three main categories for the competition, we have included several subcategories to the General Business and Life Science Categories to better match the judges and teams. We have selected the subcategories based on past competition submissions. Please select the track that most closely reflects your business plan.

General Business Category

  • General Business - ECommerce
  • General Business - Retail
  • General Business - Finance
  • General Business - Social Media
  • General Business - Hospitality/Service Industry
  • General Business - Energy
  • General Business - Other

Life Sciences Category

  • Life Sciences - Medical Technology
  • Life Sciences - Pharmaceutical

Social Enterprise Category

 

Upon completing the initial online questions and upload of the Executive Summary for the team, the Team Leader will receive an email from the online platform. After receiving the email notification confirming the intial submission, the Team Leader will need to login to the competition platform and upload the following materials in .pdf format:

  1. Team Prize Distribution Form (File Name: "Business Plan Title" - Team Prize Distribution Form.pdf)
  2. Resumes for each team member. (File Name: "Business Plan Title" - "Team Member's Name" - Resume.pdf)

Executive summaries should be no more than five (5) pages.

Entry Process for Written Business Plan Round

Finalists will be announced on 3/19/12. All finalists are required to upload their final Written Business Plans to the online competition platform by 3/30/12.

Final Written Business Plans should be in .pdf format. The title of the document should be in the following format: "Business Plan Title" - Written Business Plan.pdf

Teams may chose to submit their Powerpoint Presentations in addition to their Written Business Plans and other documents they feel are necessary. Submission of any additional documents should be named accordingly: "Business Plan Title"- Powerpoint Presentation.ppt. All files submitted should include the Business Plan Title.
