Kate Flores

KateKate Flores graduated from Hopkins in Spring 2010 with a B.A. in Neuroscience, as well as a minor in Classics. She started dancing ballet at the age of six, and she was trained heavily in both the Vaganova and Balanchine styles of ballet technique at the Connecticut Ballet Center during her high school years. She also attended numerous classes and workshops covering character, flamenco, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance from her elementary school years to her college years.

In addition to being the founding secretary as well as choreographing and dancing for the JHU Classical Ballet Company, Kate's collegiate dance experience at Hopkins included (1) dancing traditional Filipino folk dances with the Filipino Students Association, (2) dancing various forms of Latin dance with the OLÉ Dance Group, and (3) teaching ballet to elementary school students in Baltimore City. She also earned a Hopkins Arts Programs Arts Certificate in Dance in Spring 2010.
