Jessilyn Dunn
Jessilyn Dunn is a South Floridian who graduated from Hopkins in Spring 2010 with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, as well as a minor in Spanish for the Professions. She began dancing at the age of six at the Academy of Dance in Hollywood, Florida, and then she practiced with the Fort Lauderdale Ballet Classique. She also danced at the South Florida Ballet Theater and the Aventura Dance Academy.
As the foundress and the founding president of the JHU Classical Ballet Company, Jessilyn created this company with the hope that people of all levels of dance will have the chance to work to make themselves the best they can be. She also earned a Hopkins Arts Programs Arts Certificate in Dance in Spring 2010.
While she was a student at Hopkins, Jessilyn's extracurricular activities outside of ballet included Best Buddies, working in her lab carrying out research at the medical school, playing with her own and other peoples’ pets, and traveling.
