Johns Hopkins Student Assistants
2006-2007
The Johns Hopkins University's Athletic Training Room employs
several JHU students to assist in the daily activities of our department.
Each student assistant is trained in emergency response, CRR/AED and first aid,
injury recognition, evaluation, and common methods of acute care. We utilize
these students as an extension of our full-time staff in overseeing the medical
care of all JHU varsity athletes as it pertains to their participation in NCAA
athletics. Students assistants are a valuable part of our operation and overall
athletic success. Many students work in the athletic training room due to
their interest in athletics and medicine. If you are an undergraduate
student at Johns Hopkins University and would like to learn more about the
student employment opportunities in the athletic training room, please contact
Associate Athletic Trainer and Student Coordinator, Matthew Bussman.
