"Anthropology of Media" is a Fall 2008 undergraduate course (070.265) offered in the Department of Anthropology at the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, Johns Hopkins University. The course is taught by Anand Pandian, Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology, with teaching assistants Chitra Venkataramani and Marieke Wilson, both PhD students in anthropology. Project pages have been designed by the 56 undergraduate students enrolled in the course, who range from freshmen to seniors and major in varied disciplines throughout the university. Their individual projects select diverse media artifacts for textual analysis and ethnographic investigation, and have been updated with media content, investigation, and analysis on a regular and sequential basis throughout the Fall 2008 semester.
