Contact the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee

The Johns Hopkins University Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) ensures humane and responsible use of animals in research, testing and educational programs. In accordance with federal regulations and policies, before an investigator performs any animal activity, the IACUC must review and approve such activity. All investigators must submit animal use protocols using the appropriate institutional form. A detailed protocol is reviewed every three years and abbreviated annual renewal forms must be completed to assure continued access to animal use in the intervening two years.
