He is also intimately involved with Anandwan, a tribal community development initiative started by Baba Amte.

Apr 27-29, 2002 Spring Fair (Photos): AID JHU makes a splash at the annual Spring Fair at JHU with its handicrafts and temporary henna tattoos. Spring fair at JHU is held for 3 days and during that time the booth was manned by volunteers selling handicrats, explaining AID to visitors, applying henna tattoos etc.

Mar  7, 2002  Candlelight Vigil (Photos) In memory of the victims of the communal riots in the Gujarat, we organized a candlelight vigil and collected money for relief efforts. We also submitted an article to the Baltimore Sun deouncing the violence.
