Module II: Lesson Organization (Cont.) Page 1 | Page 2 | Page 3 | Page 4 | Page 5 | Page 6 | Page 7 | Page 8 | Page 9 | Page 10 Summary and Conclusion The process of organizing a lesson allows instructors to view instruction as a learning cycle-articulating what students should be able to do at the end of the lesson, designing instruction and activities to meet those objectives, and creating assessments that measure whether those objectives have been met. By articulating the learning behaviors a student will exhibit to demonstrate understanding, the questions about how to deliver the lesson and what activities to design become easier to answer. And by thinking in a patterned way about the steps of instruction, instructors can design creative elements in their lesson to help ensure that students will meet the learning goals.
