The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is our nation’s guardian of liberty, working daily in courts, legislatures, and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to all people in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.
The ACLU chapter at Johns Hopkins University (JHU-ACLU) works to ensure that students are educated about their rights and that those rights are protected. JHU-ACLU also seeks to bring knowledge of outside civil liberties/civil rights issues onto campus. JHU-ACLU fulfills its mission through educational forums and through various campaigns designed to target specific issues.
