Josefowicz and Novacek to Perform in Shriver Hall Series

The brilliant young violinist Leila Josefowicz and pianist John Novacek perform in the Shriver Hall Concert Series this week in a program of works by Messiaen, Beethoven, Salonen, Grey and Ravel. Josefowicz, a graduate of the Curtis Institute and recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant, has performed with every major U.S. orchestra and many major European orchestras and has recorded for BBC and Philips labels. Novacek, in addition to collaborating with Josefowicz and other great performers, has toured as a soloist throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas and has made more than a dozen recordings.

Josefowicz and Novacek perform at Homewood's Shriver Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5; a pre-concert lecture begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Shriver Hall Clipper Room.
