PROVOST’S UNDERGRADUATE
RESEARCH AWARDS
POSTER SESSION
Undergraduate
researchers will share their results with the University community in a poster
session that will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2008, in the Glass Pavilion on the
Homewood Campus.
The poster session is always
the highlight of the afternoon’s activities. To prepare for it,
each undergraduate award recipient will be provided with a 4-feet wide (ø) x 8-feet high (ù) bulletin board and poster board
pins.

Toward creating your poster,
please keep in mind that your display will be viewed simultaneously by several
people, and that the text and figure size should be sufficient to insure
legibility. Although students will ordinarily stand alongside their
posters to answer questions about them, each display should be “free
standing”--that is, it should be interpretable without elaborate oral
comment by the presenter. Each poster should be headed by the project
title and the names of the student researcher, faculty advisor, and department.
In some cases, projects may
be better presented through performances or demonstrations than by
posters. A limited number of such performances may be considered for
inclusion in the recognition program. If you wish to present your work in
one of these ways, please contact Ms. Sandra Davis at (410) 516-0146.
Please feel free to contact Ms. Davis for logistical information regarding
either the poster session or any other aspect of the recognition ceremony.
