The International Fellows in Philanthropy Program promotes advanced study, research, and training at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Policy Studies, Center for Civil Society Studies for a semester (four months) or a full academic year (nine months) for a limited number of persons. Program participants are involved in studying private nonprofit or philanthropic organizations outside the United States and must have a demonstrated track record of conducting independent inquiry and research. The Program also convenes a Fellows' conference every other year in a host country overseas to encourage continuing interchange among Fellows and to assist in broadening understanding of this sector at the international level.

Applications for the 2008-2009 program year are due April 7.
