Welcome Transfer Students
The Orientation staff would like to welcome you to Johns Hopkins University. We understand that your needs, as a transfer student, are different that of a freshman. You have already attended a college or university and your concerns and questions vary from those of first year students. The Orientation staff would like to offer you an opportunity to utilize us as a means to familiarize yourself with the University and its resources.
Transfer Student Schedule
Friday, August 29th
Check-in: 10am-3pm
Pick up your orientation materials and J-cards. Also, representatives from Student Accounts, Registrars Office and Health and Wellness will be available. See below for more information.
Saturday, August 30th
Check-in: 9am-4pm

Sunday, August 31st
Transfer & Communter Luncheon: 12pm-1pm
Join your fellow transfer students for an opportunity to meet students and staff that will answer your questions about adjustment to life on your new campus.
Arts & Sciences and Engineering Transfer Session: 1pm-2pm
This session will provide various insights into academic advising needs. Members of Arts & Science and Engineering Academic Advising will provide perspective through a panel.
Transfer Student Check-in
- Transfer students should plan to arrive in Baltimore on Friday, August 29th or Saturday, August 30th. This will depend on you living arrangements, specifically on-campus housing assignments and respective move-in days.
- All check-in materials can be picked up at Multipurpose Room
