So...everything I'm going to say right now will be plans and contingency plans,
so pay attention carefully...These plans are all based on the fact that this
"hurricane" will probably be a tropical storm by the time it gets here...

This Thursday will be an Open Gaming Nite for those of you who want to stay
dry. For those of you who like being muddy, windblown, and damp, wear old clothes
and bring an inner tube 'cause we're gonna have some outdoor fun...In the
eventuality that school or just after hours stuff gets cancelled, HopSFA will also
be cancelled.

Saturday will *still* be Ren Faire day if everything has started to dry out (if
it stops raining before nightfall on Friday). If it hasn't, Faire will be six
inches of mud with a few buildings and peasants sticking out of it, which
wouldn't really be fun. But, if it is cancelled and we're not under a state of
emergency you can still celebrate Max Aguda's birthday and stuff at Ron and Sarah's
house, which is somewhere on the 26th block of Guilford, that day. Also, Ren
Faire *will* happen next Saturday if it doesn't happen this Saturday. And for
the last time, folks, Ren Faire shouldn't cost any more than $5-7/person. I
will send out an email (if we have power) on Friday nite to tell you all if it is
cancelled. If you're not sure, or the power goes out, call my cell
410-499-7565 and I'll let you know.

That's it for me, but...Speaking of this Saturday, Brian O'Reilly has another
party announcement:

> To all fen:
>
> Melissa and I are throwing a sushi party at 2908 Cresmont Ave
> next Saturday 9/20 at 7pm. Everyone in HopSFA is invited. Yes,
> it is after the Maryland Ren Faire trip, and yes, I am going to
> the Ren Faire. I plan to be home by 6pm to prepare for the party.
> You'll all have plenty of time to drive back from Crownsville,
> go home, change, shower, and come over to our party feeling fresh
> and invigorated. Show up any time between 7pm and 8pm (or later
> if you don't mind missing the best sushi selection).
>
> We will be providing the sushi, as well as the ingredients
> and instruments for people who wish to make their own sushi
> or learn how to make it. We will also have shrimp cocktail,
> cheese, crackers, chips and salsa, and other dishes for less
> adventurous people who
> still want to come to the party. It's BYOB, and of course no
> one underage is allowed to drink unless they feel like it.
>
> We welcome and encourage sushi ingredients donations, as we
> sometimes run out of things during the course of the party.
> In particular, sushi-grade raw salmon and tuna will be at a
> premium, but we also welcome donations of nori sheets,
> rolling mats, gari (pickled ginger) and wasabi, toasted
> sesame seeds, and any other types of fish that anyone wants
> as a special request. Donations are not required.
>
> Throwing up on my furniture will be punished by death.
