INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION TO PHYSICA D SPECIAL ISSUE

In order to be able to deal with manuscripts as fast and efficiently as possible, authors will submit their manuscripts via the the journal's online submission and reviewing system, Elsevier Editorial System (EES). The system will be configured to receive submissions for the special issue in August, 2008. After that date, authors should proceed as follows to submit a manuscript:

a. Go to: http://ees.elsevier.com/physd
b. Click on the "submit paper" option from the top menu;
c. Enter username and password (first time users will have to register);
d. After entering the title of the manuscript, please select the special issue number (which will be provided by Elsevier) as the "Article Type".
e. Follow the remaining step-by-step instructions for submitting the paper, and select "Joceline Lega" in the "Request Editor" section

The final date for receipt of submissions is September 30, 2008.

It should not be assumed that everyone who presented a poster will contribute to the special issue. The Physica D issue will be fully peer-reviewed and standards for publication will generally be higher than for presentation of a poster at the meeting. If there is a request for revisions from the referees, revised manuscripts must be returned
within one month. The manuscript will either be accepted or rejected on the basis of that one revision.''
