Who are we?

The mission of the Catholic Community at Hopkins is to image the Gospel of Jesus Christ by welcoming all into a friendly environment, which fosters worship, prayer, faith-sharing and social interaction.  We are also committed to service to our surrounding communities, especially to those in need.

This statement mission and purpose was crafted through prayer, reflection and sharing during a meeting of the new leadership team, representing our Catholic community, in May, 2004.

Some have asked for sources to read Pope Benedict’s Homilies and Presentations given during his recent visit to the United States.  I recommend a basic site, www.uspapalvisit.org., as a reliable and fairly comprehensive source.

Special Invitation to Our Graduating Seniors, Class of 2008:  Please join us on Thursday, May 22nd, 2008, for a special Graduation Mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Bunting-Meerhoff Memorial Chapel, N. Charles Street and University Parkway.  Following Mass, there will be a light reception downstairs.  These events should leave you plenty of time to attend the formal graduation ceremonies.  If you intend to come to Mass and, hopefully, our reception, please let me know at tttrion@aol.com or calling 410-243-7066.
